Grand Opening
A special thanks to everyone who came out, supported us, and made our Grand Opening such a success. Special Thanks to Dottie Weir, Robin Monogue, Weldon Walker, Karen Currier, Carolyn Dondi, Susie Essing, and Julie Sprinkle for putting on eye-catching demos and sharing your talents with us! Your weaving, spinning, and piano playing added so much life to the store. Congratulations to Michelle Hull, Juice Jenson, and Cindy Sorensen on winning our prize baskets.

What’s New @ Entwine
We’ve been adding lots of new classes and yarns to our repertoire. In June you can take new classes like Fingerless Gloves with Weldon Walker, Linen Stitch Jacket with Judy Cross. Read more about this month’s classes below! If you’re looking for new and exciting fibers, we have them! We still have some skeins left of HiKoo’s Abracadabra – it changes from white to pink or purple in the sun! We’ve also added Erika Knight British Blue Wool, Peter Pan Cupcake, Cascade 220 Superwash, Cascade Heritage Prints, and we add more yarns every week. Be sure to stop by soon to be inspired by our ever-changing selection!

Open Stitching
We have open stitching on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, Sundays from noon to 3:00p.m. Bring a friend or make some new ones – we’d love to see what you’re working on. You are always welcome to come in any time to sit and work on your project.

Calling All Betsy Rosses – We Want You for our 4th of July Flag!
Entwine is working on making a handmade American flag for the 4th of July – and we’d love your help! We’re looking for 2.5″ x 2.5″ knitted or crocheted squares in red and white. If you would like to contribute, please stop by and let us know! If you have some you have already made, please let us know that also or bring them and they will be added to the count. Squares are needed by June 15th in order to start assembling them.

**Need help with a project? Every Tuesday and Thursday, starting on June 16th from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. and through the Summer…we will have Erin Phillips here from Atlanta to help you out!**

Beginning/Intermediate Weaving with Dottie Weir $175.00 (4 sessions, materials included)
Beginning Weaving: Learn all you need to know to start weaving independently on a four-shaft floor loom using one of our beautiful new Schacht looms. Warping, dressing the loom, reading a pattern, weaving plain weave, twills, overshot, epi, ppi, sett are only a few of the terms you will learn during this 24 hour class. You will weave a sampler of several different patterns. A fun class with lots of TLC.
Intermediate Weaving: Start a new journey weaving hand manipulated laces, clasp weft, double weave, twills and overshot just to make sure you are understanding how to read the patterns, texture, supplementary weft and whatever else we have time for. You will review the warping procedure using the back to front method and plan a new project. You can see this will be a full and enjoyable class.

Finishing Techniques with Judy Cross $35.00
Finishing a garment well is as important as knitting it well! It’s not hard to do and it’s much less scary when you know how! Topics include: Mattress stitch for seams, 3 needle bind off, basic crochet edging, tips for planning a project for easier finishing, and staying calm!

Knitting Socks on 2 Circulars with Weldon Walker $80.00 (4 sessions)
Tired of fumbling with double points? Are your stitches falling off the other end of the needle? Learn to knit your socks on two circular needles and you can use this technique to knit anything else requiring a small tube. We will be using Cat Bordhi’s book Sock Soar on Two Circular Needles to create our socks and learn this fun and useful techniques. Get a head start on some Christmas gifts!!

Linen Stitch Jacket with Judy Cross $75.00 for three sessions & pattern
A three season jacket! A stashbusting project! And it’s actually pretty easy. All you need to know if knit and purl, cast on and bind off techniques. Session 1: Introduction to linen stitch, “sideways” knitting, getting started on the jacket. Session 2: Beyond the sleeve, how to work the fronts and back of the jacket. Session 3: Finishing

Fingerless Gloves with Weldon Walker $80.00 (4 sessions)
Hands cold while you are working on the computer or just want to make an elegant fashion statement? Solve both problems with a pair of lovely fingerless mittens. Using the circular technique of your choice (dpns, two circular, or magic loop) we will be knitting Susie Rogers’ Reading Mitts. Take this opportunity to learn several new techniques and get started on your Christmas knitting now.

Let’s Make a Mistake…Then We’ll Fix It! with Judy Cross $35.00
Mistakes are a part of a knitter’s life and they can be fixed! This class will allow/encourage students to make mistakes so they can find out how to fix them! How much fun is that? The class will cover where mistakes come from and how to recognize, troubleshoot, and fix them.

Card Weaving with Robin Monogue $25.00
Come learn this ancient weaving technique to create beautiful bands using only cardboard cards and a belt shuttle! These sturdy bands make great straps for bags, decorative trim, belts, bookmarks, headbands, or many other items. Students will learn how to read a card weaving draft, thread the cards, and weave variations on the design. All materials will be provided, but you are asked to bring either a sturdy belt that fastens securely, or a pillowcase to be used as a back strap. These will be used to tie one end of the weaving to you; the other end will be tied to a table, doorknob, or other fixed point.

Tunisian Crochet with Weldon Walker $75.00
Learn to use a Tunisian crochet hook to make a thicker fabric that’s perfect for afghans and other projects that need a sturdier build.

Slip Stitch Techniques with Judy Cross $35.00
This workshop focuses on using slip stitch for easy color and texture in knitted projects. Topics include basic slip stitch techniques, how to read instructions and/or charts, guidelines for using slip stitch in various projects. Sample slip stitch patterns are provided. Students will have ample time to play.

Stashbusting with Judy Cross $35.00
Okay, admit it. You have yarn all over the house and it’s getting out of hand. Wouldn’t it be nice to clear out the stash, make some cool stuff and then have room for more yarn? This workshop will cover all aspects of stash control from organizing to using what you have. You may be surprised to find you can make some fun projects from the bits and pieces you can’t bear to throw out. Sample garments will be available for inspiration!
